What we collect

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your phone number, so we can reach you on the day of a meetup.
  • Your quiz answers — age band, nationality, where you were born, industry, how long you've been in Dubai, what you like doing, your short bio.
  • A photo, if you add one.
  • Whether you showed up, and what you told us afterwards.

Why we collect it

To put you in a group that actually suits you, and to run the meetup — telling you where to go, letting you know if a venue changes. Nothing else.

Who sees it

Your group sees a card with your industry, age band, where you're from and your bio — no name, no photo, no contact details. They only see that two days before you meet.

Your photo is only visible to you, to the small Socialee team, and to people you've actually met, after the meetup. Your phone number is never shared with your group. The Socialee team can see everything you've given us, because a person builds every group by hand.

Where it's stored

In our database, hosted by Supabase. Photos sit in private storage — they're never on a public URL. We message you over WhatsApp, so those conversations live on Meta's servers under their terms. We don't sell anything to anyone, and we don't run advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

While you're a member, and for a year afterwards in case you come back. Then it goes.

Deleting it

You can remove your photo from your profile any time. For everything else, email hello@thesocialee.com and we'll delete your account and your data within seven days. Ask us for a copy of what we hold and we'll send it.
